Tony Meehan [Daniel Meehan]

Tony Meehan (born Daniel Meehan on 18 June 1943) was an influential English drummer and music producer, best known for his work in the early 1960s with the instrumental rock group The Shadows. Meehan joined The Shadows in 1960, contributing to their distinctive sound characterized by melodic guitar riffs and rhythmic drumming. He played on several of their notable tracks, including "Apache," which became a massive hit and remains a classic in the instrumental rock genre. Meehan's drumming style was characterized by its precision and innovative techniques, which influenced many future drummers in rock and pop music.
